We have had the most amazing experience at SNHMC. This is our first child and SNHMC came highly recommended from friends and family so we decided to switch from our previous network. From day one with Dr. Martinez and Nurse Karen Flaherty it has been a truly special experience. The accommodations make you feel as if you're at home with the amenities of a hotel and not a hospital. Having a fridge and microwave in your room with enough storage to accommodate even the biggest clothes phenatic. There is an amazing jacuzzi bathtub for mom to relax in after the delivery and they didn't forget about dad with a couch that flips into a bed that was so comfortable that I was able to get more sleep while waiting than I've had in the past couple months. The best, most amazing part however were the people that work at SNHMC. Every step along the way the nurses and doctors have been very patient and have walked us through every possible step and procedure. From the delivery doctor to the anesthesiologist to the many nurses to the people helping the nurses along the way, every one of them made our stay truly remarkable. They have answered questions before they even arose. Provided bedding for my couch/bed before I even thought of it. And helped with everything before we even knew we needed it. Nurse Susan made us feel comfortable and relaxed on our first day, reassuring us that we could never ask too many questions or ask for too much help. We were in the hospital for 2 and half days before our precious Savannah arrived and are still here 2 days later, so we have had the privilege of meeting a lot of the tremendous nurses doctors and staff along the way. Every single one of them made us feel like we were being helped by family and not just people we were meeting for the first time. Nurse Michelle and Dr. Bala where extremely supportive and helpful during and after the birth, providing information, answering my thousand questions and encoraging us throughout our ordeal.Nurse Michelle was especially helpful throughout our stay as we had the honor of having her twice during our time here. She had an amazing personality that my fiancée loved and felt very comfortable and supported by her. Nurse Jillian took amazing care of Savannah during her first breaths in this world. Making sure everything was ok and making sure we felt comfortable with anything going on with Savannah before leaving us. I can't thank this family of staff, doctors and nurses enough for our wonderous stay at this stunning home. This has been the most breathtakingly memorable and surprisingly stressless experience of our lives. We look forward to enjoying your company again whenever we have our second child. (According to mom, that might be a while.) Thank you !!!

We had a wonderful experience at the Birthplace, and will definitely be there again in a couple of years. The staff was really attentive, caring and informative and the private rooms were spacious and well appointed. We had a large group of visitors most of our stay and we didn't feel cramped. My only complaint is the labor tub is great for moms in larbor but was too deep for this short mom who had a c-section to comfortably climb into to shower. The maternity style beds are also not ideal for someone who has just had surgery. Overall we felt very comfortable and well cared for at the Birthplace!

I cannot say enough about the care that you receive at the birth place! Every single nurse I had was tentative and truly cared about me and baby. Sure, the rooms are gorgeous and there is a Jacuzzi tub in every room but those things don't come close to the kind nurturing friendly helpful nurses there! Dr. Lo and Mina (the resident) were great too! By far my favorite nurse was Diane. What an amazing lady! I would recommend the birth place to anyone!
